Our Journey to Adoption Quilt

Yesterday was Birth Mother's Day, a holiday for those mothers who are honored and remembered for placing their children in a forever family.  It seems quite fitting that yesterday we would get the call that a little girl weighing 6 pounds and 15 ounces had been born.  We would like to say that she's ours and rush to be with her, but we aren't quite to that point in our adoption journey.  We have a little further to go.

We do not know what to expect in the immediate future, but we are doing our best to be prepared for everything.  We have been saving and fundraising to the best of our ability, but we have no idea what it will cost to bring our little girl home.  To be certain that we have what it takes to make this miracle happen, we are holding one last fundraiser.

Our family has received so much help along the way, we wanted to find a way to remember all those who took part in this journey with us.  Above, you see a sample of quilt squares that will be stitched together to form a very special quilt for our daughter.  On each square we will embroider the names of those who have helped us to bring her home.

You can click our PayPal button below if you wish to become a part of our adoption journey and help us to bring this little girl home.  If you are one of the many who have given so much already, please use the comment space to indicate how you would like to be remembered in our quilt (ex: "The Williams Family" or "Kathy Williams") so we can add you to it.

Our family is so grateful for the love, support, encouragement, and prayers that have blessed us along this journey.  We will treasure the quilt that reminds our daughter of the many people who loved her before they even knew her.  Thank you so much for your kindness, we couldn't do this without you.
